  • mp3: Removes radio replaygain diagnostic.
  • log (EAC): adds range rip diagnostics, support for older CUETools DB.
  • log (XLD): adds basic recognition.
  • m3u8: Adds recognition and content validation.

UberFLAC v3.6.5
  • Adds diagnostic for EAC gap handling.
  • Adds the experimental /fussy switch.
  • Shows track files for /g:Verbose.
  • Updates help documentation.

UberLAME v3.6.5
  • Initial release.

The new UberLAME product is a EAC-to-MP3 rip validator. Checking is performed of .log, .mp3, .m3u, .m3u8 files. Validation information is stored in a .sha1x file. For details, see the product home page.

Mediags now validates the content of .m3u8 playlist files. This playlist contains a list of files encoded with UTF-8.

The Mediags Fussy escalator may be used to flag issues that do not affect rip integrity yet may not be up to particular requirements. This escalator corresponds to the experimental UberFLAC /fussy switch.

mediags /f:*.log /e:fussy C:\MyFlacLib

Download any of mediags.exe, uberflac.exe, uberlame.exe, or WpfFlac.exe. The uberflac.exe & WpfFlac.exe programs require the program flac.exe to be in your path. If the /rg switch is used, metaflac.exe must be in your path too. Extract them from downloaded from here:

These programs are typically used by copying them into a folder that it listed in the PATH environment variable and then run from the command line. There are no persistent settings stored by this programs so it may be helpful to use a batch file for that purpose. Use the switch /help to view syntax.

You may also create a desktop shortcut to any of the executables. For the console programs, add the /k switch to the target in the shortcut properties dialog. Then drag and drop a directory from Explorer to the shortcut icon to invoke the program recursively on that directory. The /k switch instructs the program to wait for a keypress before exiting.
